An Argument for Credo-Baptistic Immersion

An Argument from Positive Law and Hermeneutical Method

The Argument

(1) The Sacraments are positively defined and determined by example, command, and being necessarily contained from Scripture.

(2) If there is an inference that is logical but not necessary as to the sacrament, it cannot be counted as something divinely prescribed.

(3) Credobaptistic immersion is the only defined, exampled and necessary constitution of baptism for the church.

(4) Therefore, Credobaptistic Immersion is the only binding and inspired practice from Holy Writ.

I will be defending each of these principles from Scripture as well as Church History if it be the Lord’s Will.
